Amazon Japan has launched a “Bagels for Bagels” e-commerce store in Japan that will sell items such as bagels, chocolates, and pastries.
The company, known as Amazon Japan, said it will offer the products for $9.99 and $12.99 on the site.
The site is still under development, and will likely launch in the coming weeks, according to The Wall Street Journal.
In the meantime, Japanese-style bagels will remain available at the company’s other stores, including its popular online store.
The “Bags for Bagel” store, which will have items like chocolats and pasties, will also feature Japanese-inspired packaging and designs, according the company.
“Amazon Japan has a special vision to create quality and unique products that are easy to find,” a statement on the Amazon Japan website reads.
“This is a major milestone in the company development.”
Amazon Japan said the “Bages for Baggers” will be available for purchase on the store’s “Bagi” section, but the company did not provide further details about the size of the “bagel” or if it will have any additional items.
