In the UK, the retailer Aldi has already begun a campaign to encourage shoppers to buy online to reduce their costs and also boost their sales.
The company has teamed up with online shopping website Shopify and the UK’s largest online shopping site Zappos to promote the campaign, which has already seen its first wave of sales jump from 3,000 to over 40,000 orders.
Aldi says it has also seen its sales increase by up to 50 per cent in the past two weeks.
The chain’s online store, which is open from 6pm until 5am, is currently selling £39.99 items on its online store.
The campaign will continue until the end of April, with a price cut of £3.50 per item.
If you’re in the market for a new pair of jeans or tights, there’s also a discount available on some new Adidas shoes.
Aldis products are available online, at its stores in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
If that’s not enough, the online retailer has also launched a series of ‘shopping-marts’ to help shoppers find the perfect shoes online.
You can find them by following the hashtag #britishdiy, which includes a link to a Google search for ‘diy shoe store’.
